The City of Marinette and the City of Menominee Police Departments are teaming up to help fight hunger locally by holding an all-day event called ‘Shields’ Against Hunger’. Menominee Downtown Business Association Board of Director Ricky Boye says, “our vision is for a hunger free community, it’s for Marinette and Menominee.”

Boye says, “food drives increase morale, and it also increases team work and comradery across multiple departments. It has a common goal and draws people together.”

Shields’ Against Hunger will take place at Jacks in Menominee and Jacks on Roosevelt Road on Thursday, June 15th from 10am to 6pm. You may purchase a pre-made bag of non-perishable food items or you may bring your own.
